I have OCD?

For 5 years now I've had a compulsion. I pull out my eyelashes and eybrows sometimes. Then I rub it between my fingers. I never thought I did it that much until my friend started saying "stop it" every time he saw me doing it. He told me "stop it alot" I knew there was a problem.

I just looked online and this is a worldwide medical condition called trichotillomania

"People with trichotillomania pull hair out at the root from places like the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, or pubic area. people pull out their hair one strand at a time. Some inspect the strand after pulling it out, or play with the hair after it's been pulled.
It might be hard to understand why someone would pull their own hair or eyelashes out - or why they wouldn't just stop. But trichotillomania isn't just an ordinary habit that a person can easily stop. It's a medical condition.

Trichotillomania is a type of compulsive behavior. This means that people with the condition feel an overwhelming urge to pull their hair. People with trichotillomania also may have other compulsive habits, such as nail biting . Some people with trichotillomania also have problems like depression, anxiety, or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)."

"she tended to pull more during homework because she was worrying about doing well on a project or test. "

One minute before looking this up online I was doing hw and pulled out 5 eyelashes and 2 eyebrow hairs.

WOW. So I think I better start restraining this compulsion. CRAP! my day was going so well until I realized this.
