[The phone clicks on, and when Riku speaks, he sounds almost uncharacteristically confused.]

Does anyone else feel... noticeably different this morning? I can't put my finger on it, but something is definitely--

[There's a pause, followed by a muttered "How in the..." followed by a sort of metallic sound and the accompanying sounds of fighting.

[He's about ready to flip out now, what with how she's suddenly in the middle of the fray. He pauses momentarily to consider if he should insist she go hide or something, but. Well, she's done this once before, and there's no arguing with Kairi when it comes to this sort of thing. So they'll just have to be Team Awesome for a little bit, until all the heartless clear out.]

[He glances back at her just in time to see that, a little impressed already with how fast she seems to pick things up. It shouldn't take too much longer before the heartless all clear out and the two are left with no more targets.]

[He's a little surprised when he feels her right behind him, but at the same time it's sort of encouraging in a literally "I have your back" kind of way.]

Just don't get cocky.
