We are the ones chosen by God to usher in a new world where there will be no pain or suffering. How can such an endeavor be bad?

It can be. When taking people against their will is one of the actions for this said 'Paradise,' for one. If you call this one of your "endeavors," I'm almost unwilling to ask what else your type of salvation will require.
