Character Name: Ichigo Kurosaki Series: Bleach (manga) Canon Point: Chapter 353, The Ash. Character's Age: 15 History: Kurosaki Ichigo was a typical 15 year old boy with one difference that set him apart from his peers-he was able to see and talk to ghosts from a very young age. Life went on as normal for him until one night when a black-haired woman walked into his room. That woman was Rukia Kuchiki, a shinigami, or Soul Reaper, and she was searching for a hollow. Not even seconds after meeting Rukia, the hollow that she was hunting down attacks Ichigo’s family, and Rukia is injured in its attack. Unable to finish it off, Rukia attempted to give half her shinigami powers to Ichigo so he can kill it, but he ended up inadvertently absorbing most of her power. The next day, at school, he met Rukia again, who then told him that because he had taken most of her powers, she could not return to the Soul Society, the base of operations for the Shinigami, and that he must do her work. Eventually, he agreed to it.

After that, Ichigo ran around doing Rukia’s work, killing hollows, and meeting new people and old, such as Inoue Orihime, a classmate who’s brother had changed into a hollow, Uryu Ishida, a Quincy who challenges him to a hollow killing contest, and Yasutora Sado, or ‘Chad’, who came into possession of a haunted parakeet.
However, his actions soon attracted the attention of the Soul Society, who came to the human world to take Rukia back for the crime of transferring her powers to a human. Ichigo attempted to stop it, but was severely wounded by Byakuya Kuchiki, Rukia’s brother. After he is saved by Urahara, Ichigo began his training to unlock his own shinigami powers, even undergoing a dangerous method of doing so-in one of his training sessions, he partially becomes a hollow, and it is only the discovery of his own Zanpakuto, or soul cutter that saved him from becoming a full hollow. After finding out his own Zanpakuto’s name-Zangetsu-he and Ishida, Inoue, and Chad went to Soul Society, accompanied by a mysterious talking cat called Yoruichi-san.
After getting into fights with the high-ranking shinigami in the soul society, Ichigo managed to gain new powers and save Rukia from being executed. However, a Shinigami captain named Sosuke Aizen suddenly revealed his plan-that he was the one giving the order to execute Rukia, and that his reason to want to do that was that Rukia had an object planted in her soul via the body she was using in the real world. That object was the Hogyoku, and Aizen manages to extract it from rukia’s soul anyway. He and his co-conspirators, Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tousen, then defect from the soul society. After that, Ichigo is recognized as a shinigami substitute, and is allowed to return home with his friends.
It doesn’t last long, however, as a man named Shinji shows up, trying to recruit Ichigo into a group called the Vizards-people that were once shinigami but can use hollow powers. Ichigo refuses to join, but soon realizes that his hollow is quickly taking him over. During this, two arrancar-high level hollows-enter the human world looking for Ichigo on Aizen’s orders. In the resulting fight, Chad and Orihime are injured. Not soon after that, Soul Society sends their own defense team to help, knowing that the arrancar could attack again at any time.
It wasn’t soon after that Orihime was taken captive by an arrancar named Ulquiorra, and Ichigo and his friends go to Hueco Mundo, the land where hollows roam, to save her from Aizen’s clutches. Along the way, they meet a child arrancar named Nel, and two other hollows called Pesshe and Dondochakka. Eventually, Ichigo is reunited with Orihime, but Ulquiorra intervenes, and Ichigo is forced to fight him. During the fight, Ichigo transforms into a strange, uncontrollable half-hollow form. It’s only through a last ditch attack by Ulquiorra that Ichigo reverts to normal, and he isn’t pleased with the damage that Ulquiorra sustained when he was like that. Before Ichigo can have his fair fight, however, Ulquiorra dies from exhaustion, fading away into ash.
Ichigo is taken from just after Ulquiorra completely fades into dust.
And I know there’s a lot of details I left out but holy god this is long anyway

Personality: Ichigo is very blunt, aggressive, has a habit of swearing, and always keeps his eyebrows furrowed, giving someone a forboding, harsh first impression of him. He also claims to care little of what people say or think about him, often getting into fights when he was at school. But, Ichigo is actually very kind hearted and sensitive, being unable to pass by anyone in need of help. He cares for his friends, and wants to protect them and the people around him, and if he’s unable to do that because he’s too weak, he feels a terrible sense of guilt and failure. Part of this stems from the name he was given: although ‘Ichigo” Is commonly written as ‘strawberry’ in Japanese and thus only used as a girl’s name, his name is written to mean ‘First Guardian.’ Ichigo’s father, Isshin, once told him that his name meant ‘he who protects,’ and he took it to heart. The other part is from the death of his mother, Masaki. When Ichigo was nine, he ran after a girl near the edge of an overflowing river, thinking she was going to jump in. The girl was actually a part of a hollow that was trying to lure him in so it could eat him. Instead, Masaki shielded Ichigo with her body, dying in his place. From that, Ichigo felt like he had torn the heart of his family’s universe out, as he felt Masaki’s death was his fault. Even after he found out that a hollow had killed her, he still feels guilty if he can’t protect someone close to him
Ichigo is also quite spastic and awkward, and has a habit of shouting too much when something confuses him or when he’s angry. He’s very spastic and overreacts when awkward sexual situations are brought up; I. E. getting boobs shoved in his face.
Hichigo, his inner hollow, has quite a different personality. Utterly violent with an extreme bloodlust and love of fighting, insane is the only word that really comes to mind when talking about the inner hollow. He fears no opponent, would even try to take down monsters beyond his power. However, he does care for ichigo in a selfish kind of way, seeing as if Ichigo dies, he dies, so he wouldn’t be above taking over Ichigo’s body to help if Ichigo got himself into a critical, life or death situation. But really, he’s only waiting for his chance to take over Ichigo’s body completely.
How will your character react to the setting?: Ichigo has seen a lot of scary stuff as a Shinigami substitute-the kid takes down scary bone masked monsters every day, for crying out loud. Not to mention his gift of seeing ghosts has probably desensitized him to ghostly scares. However, he certainly won’t be happy with being trapped in an unfamiliar place, and especially so if his hollow suddenly increases in chattiness., or the fact that he’s apparently been dragged here by a fanatic religious cult. Seeing as he grew up in modern-day japan, he probably has passing knowledge about Silent Hill; I. E. it being a horror video game series, which will probably add to his anger at being trapped in such a place, and without his powers.
Hichigo, however, will just love it. He’ll feel right at home…

Hello? Is there anyone else here on the network?
Whatever. If anyone’s out there, just reply to this or something. I hope to god I’m not alone in this place.
Anyway, I woke up in this town-or more accurately, a hotel room in the town, and I’ve already got a bad feeling about this. The pamphlet on the desk in the room says that I’m in Silent Hill, but that’s crazy. Silent Hill’s a video game series, for crying out loud!
…Then again, I’ve seen crazier stuff. Actually, it wouldn’t surprise me if this is some kind of crazy rouse set up by Aizen. Hell, it makes as much sense as anything else.
…I’m going to take a look around, but I’ll keep this cell phone on incase anything happens. Seriously, if there’s anyone out there, reply to this.
Third Person:
“That…is a huge hole.”
Kneeling down, the orange-haired teenager stared into the abyss of the hole that spread from both sides of the street, cutting off access to the outside world.
“No shit,Sherlock,” a distorted voice said in the very back of his mind, sarcasm simply dripping from the words.
Scowling, Ichigo reached up and roughly rapped his own head with his knuckles. “Will you just shut up in there?!” he growled in irritation. “You’re giving me a damn headache.”
“Maybe if ya’d stop hitting yourself in order to make me shut up, you wouldn’t have the headache, King.”
Ichigo snorted in derision, standing up. “You’re not helping.”
An insane cackle was all he got, and he shook his head, sighing. Normally, he wouldn’t have conversed with his hollow out in the open like this, but as far as he could tell, he was completely alone. He hadn’t seen any signs of life-the entire town was like a ghost town, with all the fog, empty buildings, and rust. And when he had tried to leave? He had found this.
Picking up a rock, Ichigo walked to the hole’s very edge, dropping the rock down it. If he couldn’t walk out, he’d try climbing out. All he needed to know was how far down it went.
A few minutes passed.
He hadn’t heard it hit bottom.
“Great,” He sighed. It was either bottomless or really, really deep. Either way, he wasn’t going to be able to climb his way out of this creepy town.
“It was a stupid plan anyway,” his hollow helpfully pointed out.
Scowling again, Ichigo kicked a rock off the edge in irritation. “Why the hell are you so chatty, anyway?”
“Can’t ya feel it, King? This ain’t no ordinary town.”
“I think I already figured that out already, what with the huge bottomless pit in the ground,” Ichigo snapped.
“I don’t mean like that, idiot. There’s something here…something more to this place. Something dark.”
“What, you scared?”
He winced as the hollow suddenly laughed loudly, the distortion in the other’s voice not making it pleasant to hear. “Hell no! ‘M fucking excited!”
“You would be,” Ichigo muttered, staring out across the hole again, his thoughts going to what he’d experienced just before coming here. Inoue and Ishida…were they alright? And what about Chad, Renji, and Rukia? What really stung, though, was how he’d won against Ulquiorra…if you could call it winning. He’d…changed into something, and attacked Ulquiorra and Ishida. It was a victory, but it wasn’t the victory he’d wanted. And now he couldn’t change it anyway. Ulquiorra was dead.
The sudden beeping from the cellphone in his pocket snapped him out of his thoughts, and he quickly took it out, staring at the screen.
New reply, the letters on the screen spelled out, and he couldn’t stop his heart from giving a reflexive thump. Someone had read the text post he’d put out earlier. He wasn’t alone.
Quickly replying to it, he began to rush back to the hotel, ignoring the snide comments his hollow was making. He was going to meet someone else who was trapped in this city, and possibly get some answers about why he was here.

First, we just want to address real quick that we're not allowing fourth-wall breaking on the setting. Everything else looks good so we're not going to ask for a re-write of the 1st person sample, since it was only a small part in question.
