I'm starting to play trumpet again. I've been tearing through some etudes, and by tearing, I mean struggling. actually, it's going rather well. I just have absolutely no stamina. today I went to the music school and got a list of private trumpet teachers. I e-mailed one of the grad students on the list to see if he has time to take on a new student. I miss performing, and practicing, and everything that goes along with playing a musical instrument. plus my trumpet is beautiful.
my spring break was nothing short of fantastic. some highlights include the gates in central park with my family, the dali exhibit at the philadelphia art museum with my dad, being julia with my sister, and thomas sweets with john and jeremy. my major accomplishment of the week was getting my website up and running. feedback welcome.
after a beautiful week at home, I went to providence to visit amanda at brown. the night I got there we stayed up late and talked sleepover style. the rest of the weekend was full of good chocolate and good wine, plus exploring. providence is a cool city.
