Dusting off plot bunnies, re-connecting

So I said in a previous post that I have over 20 WIPs and plot bunnies. I recently decided to work up treatments of all my plot bunnies, just as an exercise, even if the result isn't worth posting.

What I've realised - both through omission and inclusion - is that it's really hard to work with plot bunnies when I fail to keep writing long enough to capture the kernel of what made the story live for me at the time I thought of it.

Meaning, that even if I'm not actually writing the fic, when I make a file and type out the idea, I need to flesh it out enough - even if it's just in point form - so that when I go back to look at it again, I can say to myself, Oh yeah, I can see the hook, and I can see the arc of the story.

So... as you can probably deduce, I didn't do that with a lot of my plot bunnies. The ones for which I did do it are in good shape; the others are dried-out husks, which I will have to work hard to re-hydrate, lol.

Oh well, it will be an exercise in patience and stick-to-it-iveness. And I might get a few good fics out of it!

I'm feeling restless and feckless right now... I think part of the reason is that I'm motivated to write, but I don't have ANYTHING easy on the go right now lol... I want a simple romp through CI loveland, but everything requires a lot of attention and patience and cogitation.

But that's OK.

On another topic, after my previous post about Anna from the SS/HG fandom, I got curious about her, and although I didn't find her, I did find some of my old compadres from WIKTT (When I Kissed the Teacher), the seminal meetingplace for the SS/HG adherents.
