Wrestling with POI/CI crossovers, untitled AU fic
I'm creating a lot of heat but not much light with two of my latest passions, my POI/CI crossovers (of which I have several that I started, then abandoned), and my untitled AU/AR CI fic which has been a WIP for like 2 years.
I think the prob with the POI/CI crossovers is that CI is such a mature canon, and I know it so well, and POI is only one season so far, I've only watched the epis once, and Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger.
I got myself into serious trouble (long story) when I fell too far down the rabbit hole of speculation in between Harry Potter books waaaay back in the day, and so I really don't want to write anything that would be a commitment to a particular outcome of the cliffhanger of Season 1 of POI (which seemed like - and was apparently supported by writer comments - a harbinger of a darker tone in S2).
Which doesn't leave me with much room to play (by my rules).
And as for the other, well I'm just feeling sorry for myself, because I've given myself a difficult row to hoe, and I'm feeling like I can't do it.
In other news, WHiV and my undercover marriage counselling fics are coming along well.
