Five Questions Meme

katekat1010 asked me these awesome questions:

1. What kind of underwear do you imagine Methos wears and why?
I kind of always thought of Methos as going commando, lol. But if he chooses to wear underwear? Boxers. Because he likes it roomier ;) No, really - I think it might just be old habit, given the changing undergarments of the times. Given he lived through every conceivable undergarment fashion, I don't think he'd be too worried about them. And I especially think he's lazy enough to just forgo them most of the time.

2. What's the oddest term of endearment you've ever used or that someone's used for you?
Umm... I use "hon" or "babe" as a matter of course... but the oddest term of endearment I've used? "My little munchkin" in reference to one of my baby cousins, lol. Seriously, I haven't got any. My brother uses an abbreviated form of my Chinese middle name as a term of endearment for me. Or if you count insults, we call each other names - dork, dookie stain, freakazoid. It's all very mature. We're adults... I swear ;)

3. What's your favorite 'i'm sick and i need comfort words' book?
Oh, man - this is a hard one. But I'd say I'd probably go with The Queen's Own trilogy by Mercedes Lackey. I love her Valdemar series, and Talia is one of my favorite characters. Plus it has humor and love and angst and definitely a happy ending. *nods* Or if I'm ill and can't concentrate long enough for the trilogy, I'd probably start reading either the Dresden novels or Simon Green's Nightside novels. Both have wit and angst and action - a winning combination. Or maybe Nerilka's Story by Anne McCaffrey because it's one of my favorite Pern stories that is shorter. I don't really have a set type of book that I would read though. If one didn't strike me, I'd just start browsing our library until I find one that fits... The ones I've mentioned above are just the most likely.

4. What did you think about before you fell asleep last night?
Last night? I was planning an epic fic out in my head, and calling myself stupid because I'd probably never actually write/finish it. But it would be awesome - a huge crossover universe. Seriously. I have it all worked out. If only my muse would oblige.

5. Which mythological creature/god/goddess/story did you love most when you were a kid and why?
I always gravitated toward the more romantic tragedies. Like Orpheus. Persephone. I was a Greek and Roman myth kid and I'd devour those stories like crazy even when I wasn't old enough to grasp all the adult ideas (i.e. incest, etc). But I guess the myth that I loved more than most was the idea of Apollo and his chariot bringing the sun every day - it was fantastical and I wanted to ride in it with him, lol.

If you want to play, leave "Eep!" as part of your comment to this entry and I'll think up 5 questions for you too! The only rule is you have to answer them at some point and extend the offer to others...
