Going Cameraless, or: Personal Hell Population One

Eh? Why are you saying "hi" to me in your first sentence? We say "hi" in msn most of the time. Lol.

I'm not sure I can agree if this picture is sad. 'Cos I see all that you mentioned about her, but I feel that there's something more stronger in her? It's not totally negative. It's her face or maybe eyes that stand out. She looks resigned but she doesn't look totally weary. She looks like she has lots of things in her mind and very serious and sharp kind of eyes. And, there seems to be a bit of a rebellious streak coming from her.

This picture is great. I like it. It maybe black and white but it tells a story. Plus a pose is nice and she looks better than I look when I smoke. Lol. ;p

Too bad about your camera and lack of money for film. I'm not sure how you can survive your 2 weeks without camera but one advice- read slashfics, watch fanvids, rewatch Supernatural. I'm sure in no time, your eyes shall pop and get tired, you shall head to bed earlier and 2 weeks will fly by. ^.^

I think the monotone lends to the telling of the story. And while the girl does have sharp eyes, I don't think she looks strong... I think she looks beat.

Maybe there's something in the way she's holding her head up. It makes her look more head-on, braced, you know? She's ready, she's knows what she's doing.

Smoking not cool!

Who says smoking's cool? Okay ... some guys look cool when they smoke. But that's not the point. Don't worry. I'm not addicted. I'm a controlled smoker. I can go for 2 months and more without smoking. Smoking's like a choice, as and when I want to do it, or something I do with a smoker friend. Not a daily basis. It's a form of liberation a little when ungrateful me thinks I have not enough freedom like staying out late at night or clubbing (which I've never get a chance to so far and I always end up miserable when I leave my friends and they enjoy late night themselves) :D

Haha, I suppose I'm boring, but clubbing has never appealed to me in the slightest. And I know what you mean about some men making smoking look addicting... Matt from Death Note, hell yes. :D

I've seen that picture before...It's really famous isn't it? I know what you mean by morbid fascination... I mean, I can't stop looking at it... it's entrancing. I can't decide if she's beaten or if she's strong... to be honest I feel she's resigned to whatever fate has dealt her.

My morbid fascination goes a little further than yours though... I think the same things you mentioned, yes, but things such as Would she recommend it? Does it feel weird? What's her going rate? Does she work alone? comes to mind too... as I once mentioned to you I have... a form of history with this and it fascinates me to no end. You remember my desperation a while back? Yea... something like that... I think she looks absolutely beautiful actually... I kinda get what guys mean when they say "You don't realise that we love you when you don't dress up and when you stare blankly into space... we find it hot." because it TOTALLY IS. Maybe that's my bi-side piping up but damn she's pretty

You're right, I didn't think those questions at all. And I'm not aware of this picture being famous- I never ran into it before Listverse used it on a list, and I haven't seen it since except in my own tab (which I'll probably never close.)

She is pretty- young girls carry tragedy well. But goddamn, she's so young! A few more years doing as she is now, and she won't look very pretty anymore at all. She'll just be another beaten, easy whore, and that's the sad part. She probably knows that. Or maybe she has a goal, a "once I reach this, I will stop."

It's not usually pictures like this that promote the unfortunate image that smoking is cool. ;P Remember, Val, no matter how cool you look, I wouldn't want to breathe that air.

Hehe many images promote smoking I think... and I agree, young girls carry tragedy well. Scott agrees that she's hot by the way, thought I'd put that out there since we just finished a discussion on who the hottest girls in FTV are ;P we still have the same taste in girls, we both agree on who the two best-looking ones are ^^

And Ianno, all I know is that I've seen this image before somewhere... and it's gonna bug me till I remember where

FTV? Okay, so cigarette companies employed the Marlboro Man to promote smoking, LITTLE DID THEY KNOW getting young child prostitutes would do the job just as well. And they could have saved all that money!
