I love photoshop. I overlayed my drawing (the newest version) with the real picture. HA, I rock. Because it's so bloody close. And the stuff that's not close should be easy to change. Check it out.

the stuff I have to change:
eyes: a bit wider on the ends
ears: ha, the left ear's fucking perfect! the right one needs to wider.
nose: wider, but the right length. also, it should be straighter.
neck: omg, how did I miss that? hell of a lot wider.
hair: bloody close enough. except over the ears, which needs to be wider.
chin: rounder, wider, a touch longer. otherwise better than I expected.
lips: a touch too high and not quite smiling enough. but otherwise good.
eyebrows: need a bit more shading.
stubble: general touch-ups and so on.
I still can't believe how fucking perfect the bridge of his nose is. the shading between his eyes lines up EXACTLY.
I love photoshop. It also has a grid option, but as I've got the basic placement of everything pretty good already, I decided I didn't need it.
also, off topic - I didn't realize until a few weeks ago that Robert Sean Leonard, who plays Wilson on House, was in Dead Poets Society. And he was my favorite character in that movie! But look. That man hasn't aged at all. *g*
