Billy took his bow to considerable applause. His character wasn’t the lead, but it was the best-liked. The applause continued, so Billy took a second bow, beaming in the bright stage lights.
He knew that somewhere in the back, Dom was standing, clapping, with a look of pride on his face. Billy kept that image in his mind as he stepped back, letting the lead actor up for his bow.
Dom finally went to Billy’s dressing room, hoping to surprise him. Billy immediately turned around and kissed him hello.
“You knew I was here.”
“Of course; I heard you clapping.”
