omg, I STILL haven't gotten back to a bunch of comments. I'm sorry! I'll reply eventually, really.
Making Movies
- Cute Guy from cinematography is here!
- I think the professor may be gay. O.o Possibly.
- There's about twice the number of students prof thought he'd have, so we might be doing two projects instead of one. This means that if I turn in a script, and he likes it, we can do it as well as the one already chosen from my script class!
It was kinda weird though, yesterday (the first day of this class). I got there semi-early, so a few people were already there, but not many. I was sitting in the front row, right by the door. Anyone coming in has to go right by me to get anywhere in the room. As time goes on, a lot of people come in that I know, or that I've at least met before. Not one of them says hi, catches my eye, even notices me AT ALL. Except for Cute Guy, because he is awesome. lol But seriously, I dunno why that is. Did they... not notice me? Not recognize me? I don't look any different from last quarter, come on! I just dunno. But at least Cute Guy said hi, so that was nice. Hopefully we'll get to work together a bit during this class.
Also, we watched a movie in class. The Conversation (a Coppola film, made in the year between the first two Godfather movies), starring Gene Hackman and... well, just him. No, not really, but he was very much the main character. Harrison Ford looked a bit like a teenager still, with a very smooth face and boy-ish lips. ANYWAY. It was a cool movie, and very well made, but about halfway through, I lost interest for a while, simply because I thought it was a short film, but it wasn't; it was a full two hours long, and I'd had kind of a hard day, plus no dinner. >.< I'd see it again, though, because it really was good, and it'd probably be even better if I was paying attention. I actually did a little POINTALISM doodle in my notebook during it. >.<
Media & Messages
- yay for awesome professor!
- boo for annoying classmates (Annoying Superman Guy from cinematography)
- yay for awesome professor being awesome and doing little inside jokes for those of us in his script class last quarter!
- boo for reading/essay homework. >.<
These first two days, we talked about violence and if it's numbed society and other such things. General class consensus is that the MPAA ratings should be modified slightly and followed, because they are there for a reason. Then we talked about nostalgia, and he showed clips from American Graffiti, Back to the Future, and Peggy Sue Got Married (which I haven't seen, actually, though I thought I had).
English Expository whatever the class title is >.<
- um.. not much goin' on here yet.
- readings to do, but haven't done them so far. >.<
Psychology
- semi-yay for interesting textbooks! and I'd read about John Locke (Lost) being named after a psychology person, but now that this John Locke is in my textbook, it's phenomenally more interesting. lol
- the prof sounds nice, but she seems to expect a lot. >.<
Biology
- do I even have to say anything here?
- approx. 5 weeks until death.
Other news: yay for flatscreen monitors. I have sooo much more room on my desk now, and I even organized my little bookshelf thingy with all my current textbooks instead of the ones from three years ago! \o/ Also, computer memory got fixed a bit, so my computer's much faster now. \o/ Also, WSU visit on... Friday. Dunno how it's gonna go, as I've never really visited a college before as a prospective student. O.o
Raquel news: She got off the plane and the locals immediately recognized her as queen and declared their loyalty. Revolt expected. ♥
