FINALLY!
I got a new car, a 1994 Toyota Corolla which is much, much better than the piece of shit I was driving. I plan on selling it to TJ for 500 dollars, a lot more than what it's really worth. No, I'm not scamming him in any way you may think I am, he offered 500 after I told him I would take 300 dollars for it after telling him everything that were wrong with it. So, heck, I'll take 500, the only thing I'm concerned about is that it won't pass safety (I wouldn't be surprised) and I won't be able to get money out of it. I'll be more than glad to donate it to charity in any case, so that will probably happen.
I had to cough up 200 dollars for my speeding ticket (my first ever fucking ticket, believe it or not!) in order to get the car registered and insured, so I'm pretty broke right now. I also had to pay 300 something to replace some things like brakes on the car. So, all of that on top of $3500, I'm pretty fucking broke and I still have a little christmas shopping to do left. I'm going to be very glad when christmas is over, because then I can expect things to calm down a little bit.
Speaking of christmas, I'm in the process of decking out my house with christmas stuff inside and outside. The inside is very messy, but it's looking very christmas-y so far. I bought a tiny tree with tiny decorations since we didn't really have any room or the money for a gigantic tree, so now it's sitting on top of a pile of presents, haha. I scored a shitload strings of christmas lights from my parents, apparently John wanted to throw out all of his lights and replace everything with led lights so I can expect to really decorate my house with a decent amount of lights. Every year, John goes overboard doing christmas lights, as he insists on competing with the guy across the street. Been like that ever since we moved there, it was a source of embarrassment for me but now it makes me smile. You name any decoration item you can think of, I can tell you it's already on my parent's house.
I've had some more time on my hands lately, after Domino's decided to close down my store for the week and keep it open only on weekends. That cut into my spare income significiantly, so I decided to get a third job. Yes, I'm crazy enough to get a third job, so you can imagine how busy I am again. My third job is cooking at a bar not too far from my house, Woody's Taphouse, and so far, it's been entertaining. I get to talk to people who go to the bar frequently and I get free food to take home after my shift. Right now I can only make wings, fries and dry ribs, by deepfrying them before tossing them in the sauce of the customer's choice. My first night there, it was chicken wings night, when I had to deepfry a shitload of wings. Before I started this job, I never really thought much about meat itself, since I was used to seeing a few wings or thighs in neat packages at Safeway. You're probably going to say I'm a moron, after you read what I'm about to say.
When I saw a few 5 gallon buckets full of chicken limbs, it made me realize that was a lot. For every pair of legs and wings, a chicken was killed for our consumption. I could estimate easily around 150 pairs per bucket, that meant 150 chickens died to give up their limbs for us to eat per bucket. We had five buckets. Don't get me wrong, I'll still eat chicken. I'm just a moron I guess.
Not much else is new, hardly anything else goes on when I work 16 hour days nearly most of the time. The lady emailed me back and said she was interested in hiring me to do her mural, so I am due to look at the room next weekend. She wants a construction theme for her kid, which should be really interesting. She changed her mind from winnie the pooh on the basis that her crotchdropping was probably too old for that crap. I'm not too sure how to go about this construction theme, since it most likely will require a few colors and will probably be infinitely harder than the first mural I did. We'll have to wait and see.
Anyway, I'm so tired and it's only tuesday. Ugh.... I haven't been sleeping much due to stress... ahh, I better finish this update off because I'm due at work in 15 minutes. Later.
