Oh wow.
Uh, I won an award! I applied to show my art at the Toronto International Art and Film Festival some time ago. What I didn't know was that it was to also apply for the Defty Award of Excellence in the Arts.. and well, that's what I won!
It was definitely unexpected news, like a cherry thrown upon my bowl of ice cream at the last minute. I started tearing up a bit, because I was feeling pretty overwhelmed. I'll be exhibiting my work in Toronto so I definitely have some work to do before then. Frick yeah.
