Today, since I was at home and since it was a new year, I decided to open a box of Smoky Earl Grey teabags from Fortnum & Mason and have a cup.
I think my biggest obstacle to properly enjoying hot tea stems from the lack of knowledge on the right amount of water to use and the length of time to soak the teabag. I mean, "Do not soak for too long" is hardly a useful guide. But whatever. It was a little light on the taste but I guess I soaked too little.

Did I ever tell you how funny Yuru Yuri is? And the anime is even funnier than the manga, probably because of the suitability of the seiyuus. And anyway, hearing bad jokes out loud is always more effective than reading 'em.
Not that the manga's any less funny. Go read it. There's so little yuri in it anyway haha.

A little shamefaced to say that I've never heard Charles Gounod's "Ave Maria" before watching Madoka. And yet I had the chance to hear it sung live by a young girl during the recent Vocal Associates concert.
I miss music, and this concert reminded me how much I valued it.
Back to Mai-HiME, then, and I'll leave you with this.

3 of the best tracks from Mai-HiME, all rearranged and performed live. Love how Yuki Kajiura rehashes themes and makes it sound good.
