So, what do you think, guys:
"Is this the real me?"
I love The Golden Compass. It is beautiful and inspiring and I cannot wait for the movie to come out.
**Edit** Ah, damn! I had gotten a raccoon on the quiz, which I really liked-- and then I scrolled through the "match assessment" just to see what the questions were like and it changed. ;_; Boohoo. Maybe it'll change again/I can change it again... *shifty eyes*
Speaking of fantasy movies that are sure to be beautiful, I'm about to go see Stardust (I'm chilling in a PC-room right now). Wanted to collect some people to see it with me, but eventually decided that not sitting around in my apartment all evening was the important thing.
Things are all right here. We're off tomorrow-- national holiday!-- so I'll probably get my ass out to the Home Plus finally and buy some new lightbulbs for the bathroom. They both burned out-- assholes!-- and the place really needs a good cleaning, so.
Doing some writing. Watching lots of TV.
Went on a walkaround in Seoul on Saturday with one of my supervisors and two other teachers, Kristen and Matt-- at this point they're the only two foreign teachers newer than me. Lots of very good fun. I think I'm spending most of this weekend there, too-- dinner with some friends from work, and then a museum trip with another coworker. Details to follow as appropriate.
It's been raining pretty steadily all week. I'd complain, but it cools things down wonderfully-- fan on high + rain-soaked breeze = bliss. At least, as long as I stay in front of the fan.
Finally tried to buy a hand-phone (cell-phone-- you say it "haen-du-p'on")-- pay-as-you-go, of course, since I'm a foreigner and we can't be trusted with contracts-- but unfortunately my mastery of the language is not yet such that I was able to understand or be understood. Not to fear-- I can probalby have one of my supervisors write down the appropriate statements for me, at the very least.
Hope you all are doing well. Love, kisses, etc.!
