So, I worked 3 to 11:30 today at the cafe. Between the time I got there and the time I took my lunch break (from 6-7), it was actually pretty slow, but people were fairly generous on the tip jar. Brie and I made out like moderately successful bandits: we divided the tips before she left a little after seven, and ended up with at least $5 each (no time to count exactly, but it was in the neighborhood). While I was on my break, the cafe suddenly got really crowded with people playing games-- I got back up to the counter and the tables were completely full. Sindri, the other closer, got in around seven, and the cafe closed at 11. Between 7 and 11, we were busy pretty much nonstop, often with rude impatient people. When we counted the tips at eleven, the total in the jar was $1.15. People are weird.
