Had a very, very cool experience the other day shortly after getting my incredible new camera (Canon digital Rebel XS). I decided to go down to the lake to visit the seagulls (my favorite models! very intense & they work for food) armed with a bag of tortilla chips and a nearly-full box of crackers. I sat down with the tortilla chips and was at first just feeding the two or three pigeons that were around me, then all of a sudden the seagulls came...
Within thirty seconds I had literally fifty seagulls all over me. They were flying in the air, wings flapping at my face, claws tapping my hair as they were fighting all over the place trying to get food. I was throwing chips out as fast as I could and I was having trouble shooting because they were literally on top of my lens and I was having to cover up the glass to make sure nothing got scratched. It was incredibly loud and the biggest adrenaline rush: I couldn't see anything but wings and they were literally drooling on me. It was absolutely amazing.
It was a freaking insane experience and oh-so-Hitchcockian. The day ended with a duck in my lap eating out of my hand as I petted him, but it was nothing compared to the seagulls.
