Well, of my seven fish I purchased at Wal-Mart, five (D.W., JFK, Bosra, Houdini, Mulatto) are dead. I'm not even sure what happened to the first two; they didn't look sick or anything from the get-go like the other three did. I keep trying to remind myself that it's not my fault and that they were grossly overcrowded in their Wal-Mart tank and were infected with all kinds of nasties from the time I got them. But as of now, it's just Geisha and my little tetra J'Fish (I already had him) in the big five gallon tank for now.
My seventh Wal-Mart 28 cent goldfish purchase was Nietzsche, who is about to be moved to his new one gallon tank. He's got a columnaris infection. I bought him a $14 tank and $6 medicated food, so I'm hoping he'll get better. For some reason I really feel like it's my duty to save him. I have never felt quite so dedicated to a fish.
Movie-wise, I saw Transformers on Monday and ZOMG BESTMOVIEEVER. Okay, maybe not, but it was my third favorite of the year so far. I knew nothing about Transformers prior to the movie, and now I keep expecting my electronics to randomly transform. Chris washed his car in hopes that it would transform, but alas, no such luck. On Tuesday I saw Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix at the midnight showing. For some reason, I have incredible difficulty remembering anything from the books, despite the fact that I really have read them all, so I was kind of confused through a great deal of the movie, but it was fun anyway. I got sleepy in the last thirty minutes or so and started crying off and on (that's what I do when sleepy) and fell down in the parking lot, almost hitting my head on the pavement. BRILLIANT!
