You all bring up such good points. Seriously, you guys brought up a lot of good points against a laptop, and a lot of good points for a laptop. I still don't really like laptops, but I think I just might go ahead and go for one.
I forgot to mention that I'm wanting a computer that I'll be able to run Sims 2 on, but I think I might have found a laptop that wil meet that.
http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/inspn_8600?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs I'm thinking of going for the entry level, except I'd want to get more RAM (although I could live without that) and like 5 or 10 GB more hard drive space (althought I could also live without that).
So I have another question, I guess this question is more directed towards people who know about laptops.
What all would I have to get for this laptop? I'm already planning on getting a printer and possibly a scanner, though I would be able to live without the scanner.. I'm also planning on getting a mouse for it since I really hate the mice that you have to use your finger to move around.. that just annoys the crap out of me. Ryan has a laptop, and he has a mouse for it, so I know it can be done.
Also, do you think I should go for the mid-range, even though it's about 300 dollars more? I'm considering it.. the only thing is, I don't need Windows XP professional, but I'm sure I could ask that they just put the home version it..
I ask too many questions.. but hey, it's all good.
