OMG MEREDITH DON'T KILL ME!
i am such an asshole. i've been meaning to call you for 3 days now and everytime i relax and think about it - it's like 1am. gahhhhh. anyway, i've been so busy learning my way around here and searching for the perfect job that a social life is not even an option. sooooo.... tomorrow i am doing NADA. just sitting around watching movies and cleaning up the apartment. so you will be called. most definitely. and if i don't you have permission to call my cell oever and over and over and bother me with 57563739 messages telling me how big of a bitch i am. :)
in other news....
it would take waaaaaaaaaaay too long to explain here the interviews i've had and stuff i have come up with as far as a job, so i'll be short and quick.
GUESS offered me 30 hours a week at $8.25 until april 1, then i would be assistant manager making $9 per hour and getting the full 40 hours. plus benifits.
LANCOME offered me a makeup/product sales job at Dillards for $10 an hour, 35-40 hrs. a week, plus benefits. starting march 1st.
PETsMART has a position open for an assistant manager of a new branch they are starting called "PetHotel" - basically running the boarding center of the store. $12 an hour, 40 hrs. a week, benefits as well.
there are also 2 or 3 receptionist jobs i need to follow up on and they are starting at like 30,000 a year with benefits of course, and with those i could be salary, which is nice. they are all for ritzy law firms and such. i haven't interviewed with them yet - or PetsMart. but they have my application and they are getting back with me. lancome practically threw the job in my lap. they adored me and the lancome manager of the entire southeastern US was there and he said i was perfect for the job and wanted me to start immediately as soon as dillards approves it. so i have one more interview with them next week. GUESS has already hired me, i start work sunday. i'm keeping my mouth shut about everything else and i'm gonna see how it all pans out. either way... i'll be making enough cash to pay my bills, and thats all that really matters.
oh...and the lancome job comes with tons of perks. 25% pay raise after a little while working for the company, 2 times a year you get a $400 spending spree to stock up on their products, you get ALL new products mailed to your home to try. they give you smocks and black pants and skirts to wear so you don't have to provide your wardrobe. i'm excited about that job the most because i have all the info. i just have to wait to see what petsMart will offer me. cause i love me some animals.
oh my gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah there is so many little things to think of here.
oh - and i've been lost like 7 times already. i ended up in marietta somehow the other day and today i got on some highway that was taking me back toward FL. it was nuts. i have the worst sense of direction. but at least i'm getting a feel of what's on all the streets. seeing how i go up and down them 6 or 7 times every damn day in the wrong direction.
going out with kevin tomorrow night to celebrate my move to atlanta. i think it's a date. maybe? it's like friends going out i think. i dunno really. we'll see if he pays. that will be the deciding factor. then i'm gonna show him my new place and maybe watch a movie or something. i'm happy to see him. things are good :)
