Irony
Well, I've gotten back in the habit of going to school again. I only have five weeks of classes before student teaching with about a semesters worth of work in that time. I couldn't help thinking last week while I stood at work completly tired from a long day of classes how nice it would be if I didn't have to work. Well... in the oddest of ways my wish was granted. Yesterday a semi truck slammed into the back of my restaurant taking out the entire kitchen area leaving the roof of the building sitting on top of the truck. Disastrous as this sounds it could have been much, much worse. This truck was a gasoline truck and could have exploded on impact, but didn't. And luckiest of all it happened yesterday- a Monday and only day that the restaurant is closed so no one was hurt, because surly if we were open it would have killed or seriously injured one if not all three of our cooks and which ever waitresses were working that night and possibly a few costumers. So, in the end I guess my wish has been granted, more time to sleep, do school work, and spend time with my honey. It still seems so surrealistic though.
