To My European Friends

I'm doing my best to track down the origins of my family. At this point I can only pin it down to somewhere in Northern Germany, probably near the North Sea. As to time of emigration, my grandfather told me his great grandfather sent his two sons to America so they wouldn't be impressed into the Prussian Army. (1870?)

Hell, I may still have distant relatives there.
