it does, precious, it does! I'm so fucking sick of my fellow Christians going ape over the Golden Compass. They're like nervous little puppies peeing on the carpet of literature. Anyway, I posted this bulletin on my myspace after seeing a bulleting about TEH EVILZ of Philip Pullman.
"For the last time, The Golden Compass is not atheistic. It will not poison the brains of your impressionable little brats. Your hellfire-and-brimstone dogma has already done that.
Philip Pullman is agnostic, not atheist. Read his website, for crying out loud! The Golden Compass is not about killing God. It is a very complex story with multiple plotlines. I suppose that if you are retarded, it would be difficult for you to understand them. And please don't criticize the books until you've actually read them.
You know something else? The books are amazing. Pullman is a very gifted writer. Christians have, what? Max Lucado? Rick Warren? Yes, yes. There's always good old CS LEWIS! Well, CS Lewis is dead. He is not going to write any more books. If you don't want your kids to read secular books you're left with nothing but trite, formulaic 'Christian fiction.' If you're so damned holy and intelligent, then you can get off your lazy brainwashed ass and write an alternative.
