Dear Poopoo,
Been a while since I posted, sorree. A lot has been happening.
Places been to in China: Beijing, Nanchang, JingGangShan, WuYuan, Fuzhou, Fuqing, Longyan, Tulou, Gushan, Wuyishan, Xiamen...
Err... where to start? It's been pretty hectic, and I've just been running around a lot. The places I've been to since last time I posted don't have internet connection, so I haven't been able to get on to check up on stuff 'n' stuff.
Before I forget, I MUST tell people over in Australia: NEVER waste your money on watching Eragon.
It. Sucks.
Sucks with such suckiness that even suckiness slinks away from its suck.
I got a pirate for free (fuqing friend owned a video/vcd/dvd store) and watched it, and then I went "ZOMG IT SUXXORZ"
Yeah. Don't watch it. If you REALLY want to watch it, the only highlight I can think of is that the SFX is pretty good.

That aside, I'm mooching internet connection off another friend of mah mum's, so I prolly can't write for long. Lots of photos, dvds, weird hats... I went to one of Xiamen's mini markets and discovered a lighter that also has a switchblade set into it - press a button and KACHING! it flicks out in a flash of silver. It won't get through Australian international security though, so sorry, Dave B. I got a prettier one for you anyway :P
I got an mp4. Still haven't figured out how to upload movies/videos onto it though. Am making a little bag for it. Yay!
We went to a little Isle off the coast of Xiamen yesterday. It was sunny, cool, and very beautiful. We were introduced to some of the minor cultures of China, and a special artistic skill: dot rendering, 'cept on stone, and with a large and heavy metal pen. Got a funky hat for
lonecow, and possibly other goodies. All the clothes I'm getting here are for winter, which is kinda sucky, since I'm going back to late summer.
The Isle we went to yesterday was called GuLangYu. Although it is very beautiful, do NOT choose to eat at any of the restaurants on there. They do a VERY bad job at cooking everything. Take what you want to eat from Xiamen, and don't buy any food on the Isle itself. We ordered a cucumber salad, and one of the cucumbers was rotten.
Apart from yesterday, we went to look at some funky structures called Tulou (earthen buildings). We participated (very mildly) in a chinese wedding (gawd, they like making loud noises) and we wandered around mountains in a government-paid car (grandma's friend's offspring work for the gov.). We even harvested some mandarins (they were deliciously fugly)
Well... I don't think I have much to say now, so I'll just pop off.
