first full week at ntu
well sort of, ignoring the fact that majority of labs and seminars (tutorials) were cancelled because they felt that it was a waste of time since we weren't expected to have been taught enough in the lectures (that were mainly introductions). only had labs today, which was 2 hours in a computer room messing around online since this course assumes that you have no knowledge of computers whatsoever ^^;;; in a way it's good because you don't have to worry about being behind and they start slowly before everyone getes up to speed and we start on what i'll be considering new stuff. but it means that labs is huge waste of time so far O.o;; just spent it writing text output programs or just looking at the tasks we'll be doing for the following weeks since everything here is available on the VLP (visual learning portal, combines email with message boards, department homepages, info about course etc).
signed up for japanese lessons the other day and first lesson is on wednesday, but the books are so costly x.x £20 for the text book we need, and they want us to get the C++ book which costs £45 but i'm too lazy to because i've already got one ^^;;; and my bank account isn't looking too healthly since i spent another load of money on ordering some piano scores for xenosaga and final fantasy 7.
also been making slow progress with flat mates whenever i see them, which is rarely ^^;;; we all hide in our rooms lol and annoyingly i've finally caught a cold while waiting for the bus after labs today x.x
now for my PT section ^^
recently let two friend have access to it when i left home, but they abused my trust T_T first the changed my password and "forgot" to tell me, then i manage to log on and found various bits and pieces missing =/ talked to them and with some clannies but "friends" said it wasn't them and they had various story changes which has led us to believe they're just trying to cover up the fact that they didn't manage to take over my account completely. also heard from clannies that these two "friends" have quit PT because my friends have been calling them hackers when i never started that rumour and only stated that they took my items without permission or explanation till it was too late. but meh, never thought this was going to happen with people i'd known so long and who were respected within our small circle of friends -.-
3 more weeks till i go home and along to LAC, and just under a month before i'm no longer a teen X.X
