Three years ago this Feb, I went to Kansas City with Eric to see my friend Chele. Chele was in town to celebrate her birthday, and much merriment was to ensue. I was a few months pregnant, but determined to have an awesome time.
But it was really cold in KC... so on our first night there, I ran to target to get warmer Jammies. I am a Jammie sucker. I love love LOVE a good pair of PJs. And while there I found the CUTEST pair on earth, there on the clearance rack. First off, they were BRIGHT PINK. The shirt was a 3/4 sleeve tee with pink sleeves, and a picture of a whining Judy Jetson. The caption? "SPOILED". How utterly fitting! The pants? Oh, the pants were gold. Bright pink with a neverending montage of Judy faces! I loved these pants. They became THE pants. Especially that weekend. The next day I got SO incredibly sick with the stomach flu I couldn't move. It was awful. But my Judy Jammies kept me warm and s nug all weekend long, and I would be forever greatful.
A few years later, the Judies made a name for themselves. Soon, assorted women were wrapping themselves all up in my Judies and singing the praises. However, tragedy would soon occur, when the pants were lost in our move. Cut down in their prime, the Judies were never seen again.
I've mourned my judy pants. I have. It's been a chilly winter, and i've missed the comfort of that thick, pink fleece. And then... yesterday... ERic came in. "I have something for you!' he said. "They were on the clearance rack, but I think they're perfect". And then he pulled out... pants. Pajama pants. Two pairs. The first had Tinkerbell all over them. Very cute, I thought.
But then. BUT THEN.
Anothe rpair. Black fleecy goodness. With.. with... a teal blue Happy Bunny all over them. And CUPCAKES. And CONFETTI.
It was love.
And then last night, disaster struck again. The Stomach Flu. Why, oh why must i get new PJs and get the flu? But Happy Bunny was there for me. Happy Bunny kept me warm and snug all night and all day today. Such fleecy goodness.
So it's a new day. A new Era. Though we will never forget the Judies, it is time to embrace change. I present to you...
THE HAPPY BUNNIES!
