catching up
well I wanted to update, and the update is...I'M FUCKING TIRED!!! :p nah... I got the place, started moving in, but until he changes the locks and puts in a new front door I'm not real comfortable bringing more of my stuff in there when I have to keep the doors unlocked (the last tenant left with the keys). I called my landlord up and left a detailed message, so they should take care of it shortly, I hope the Labor Day holiday doesn't delay things though.
Anyways, I started cleaning the place out today/tonight. The kitchen is done, the carpets are vacuumed, and half of the bathroom is done. A little less than half the windows are washed as well. I'll have to go outside at some point to wash the other side of the windows with my mop. I gotta move those big spiders too. If I can do it without killing them, fine, but if not, sorry for 'em, but those things are too big to be friendly, lol.
Everyone I tell about the new place gets all excited for me, and offer to help me out with things I need. It's kinda nice to see people at least offer to help out, even if they never come thru, it's nice to see some people care enough to want to help. And I can definitely use the help, hehe. I'm almost broke, but I have a nice comfy new bed (it's a Full/Double...it'll be heaven to me since I've been sleeping in small Twin beds most of my life) and that set me back a bit, but I should be set by the end of the month, I just have to remember to keep money aside for October rent, that's all.
16 days til Nathan/DR gets here...**shakes nervously** can you tell I'm nervous? lol. I'm sure we'll have a great time though. I just still have that old image in my head of him coming off the plane, taking a look at me and running back on the plane, lol. Though that isn't even possible cause I can't even meet him at the gate :( I have to pick him up in "Baggage Claim", so they ruined just about all my daydreams of us meeting for the first time as he steps out of the gate **grumbles to herself** but hey, as long as he makes it thru the gate and to the baggage claim to see me there holding his lil' Tsukasa sign (I haven't forgotten DR) I will truly be the happiest person in North Carolina :)
But...ahhh...I think it's time to catch up on some shut-eye, and after all the running around I did today sleep should come rather easily tonight.
