Gig
April 5th college gig, sold out! We had people crowding on the stairs either side of the main seating area, leaning through the doors... madness.
We played six songs, hit the stage first out of the four bands playing. Played six songs, one of which I don't even want to think about. After that one, Queens of the Stone Age - Lost Art of Keeping a Secret, Seether - Broken, Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit, uh, Nickelback - How You Remind Me (pulled together in about two hours because we were a song short). Finished off with an original, Close My Eyes.
You cannot believe how well it went down. It fucking rocked. Everyone was going nuts on stage. I hit my distortion pedal so hard i sent it skidding under my stage monitor. It was only afterwards I found out that if I'd knocked it only a little more I'd have unplugged myself and ruined the whole thing... nevermind. We had parents headbanging and people demanding more. That's what counts.
