He hadn't really thought through the idea of talking about it to her in person until he was pacing in front of the fire in the Common Room. It was highly likely that Reina would just laugh at him if he mentioned it, although she'd never been particularly cruel in his memory.

Even still, he could feel his stomach starting to tense up.

Reina was carrying a few books when she entered the library. She had butterflies in her stomach, because she just knew this had to do with Jaden.

Maybe her plan had actually worked! Maybe she would actually set them up!

"Hey, Gabe, how are you?"

"Um, good," he answered, mumbling the words uncertainly. He wasn't sure at all that things were good, and they felt far from it at the moment.
