An Infinitely Important and Variable Subject
...that being, of course, books. I have two things to report on this front.
1) I have finally, in a marathon burst of productivity-destroying book-trance, finished the entire Sandman saga. I have been putting this off for almost two years, mainly because once I started I didn't want to come to the end. So now I have, and will shortly be returning the last volumes to the library, picking up the first volumes, and starting all over again. Like Lord of the Rings, the Ender quartet, Microserfs, and most other Neil Gaiman, I will never be done reading Sandman-- only closer to the beginning of my next cycle of rereading it.
2) In the post-book void, I finally picked up Snow Crash, on many excellent recommendations (Walter Deignan's standing out in particular.) I have read exactly three and a half pages and can already tell how much I am going to love this book. Thank you, Walter.
