Going on Hiatus

Feb 26, 2009 22:23

It's storming outside.  Well, it's not thundering yet, but the wind is howling and that's worse than thunder for me.  I can't stand wind.  I'm weird, I know.  It just makes me want to take shelter and put a pillow over my head so I can't hear it anymore.  But I'm a grown-up now so I'm just going to sit here and look uncomfortable and not go outside for any reason whatsoever.

I'm settled on giving up non-essential Internet for Lent.  That will probably effectively start tomorrow, since I'm going home and will likely be busy this weekend.  So here's my plan: I will not be posting unless something really major happens.  I think I'll be skimming my flist every once in a while to keep up on major events in your lives, but I don't plan on commenting or otherwise being very interactive.  I will be checking my gmail, so if you want to contact me, my username is rachaelynn.  Or you could comment or message me here and I'll get the notification and see what's up.

Orthodox Easter is on April 19th this year, a week after everyone else's.  So I'll see you then, unless I miss out on one YouTube video too many and come crying back to the Interwebs before Lent is up.

OMG, why do I hear a siren?  This is not tornado season, right?  Right?  D:

Okay, I don't hear it anymore.  Just the wind.  I'm going to go hide under my covers now.

Why did I think it was a good idea to watch Tornado Week on the Weather Channel?
