Millie, Make Some Chili

I've been to Californy, Southern Arizona (don't forget Winona), Texas, Mexico, Oklahoma, and various places in the northeast that look and sound like one gigantic episode of This Old House. I've sampled chili in all of these places. It's a yardstick for judging the gravitas of the local populace. And I have to say that the best dang chili in the lower 48 can be found at the home of flappervamp and cptvanderdecken.  If it weren't for pesky niceties like reserve and decorum, I'd have inhaled the crock pot in its entirety.
