This is the third time that I have sat down and started this blog this week. I don’t know why, but sometimes I have a lot to say, but when I go to type anything my brain freezes, and that is that. And seeing as it has been nearly a week since I last updated, I feel like I need to talk forever, but I won’t, I will try and keep it short for you all.
I went back to college last week. I was going on Tuesday, but in the end didn’t go until Thursday as my tummy was sore for a few days. It had been over a month that we hadn’t been there when my sister and I finally went it. We did two hours (it’s an open college, so you come in and do how much you want, when you want to) on Thursday and only did one yesterday seeing as the computers went down. We may go in tomorrow, but I doubt it as my sister is not keen on it.
The weather got a little worse after my last blog. It was so cold on Thursday, but seeing as I love cold weather it was OK. The pond in the park was frozen over it was that cold, and I have never seen that before. The weather is warmer now, but now it’s raining a lot, which is horrible. I hate it when it’s cold and wet out, it isn’t nice.
I started reading ‘The Outcast’ by Sadie Jones last week and finally finished it yesterday. I was so glad to put it down too. This book had great reviews on Amazon and had high hopes about it, so I thought that I would give it a go - I wish that I hadn’t. This book was so dull, boring and I only finished it as I hate to leave books half read. A few things happened that could have made the story line exciting, but in the end it felt pointless to read. I kept waiting for the story to start, and it never did.
Seeing as the other book was going slowly I read two of Louise Rennison’s books for teenagers. When I was in the library I waiting for my mum I saw these and decided to read them seeing as they looked funny, and I had read one of them years ago. The first one I read was ‘Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging’, which was better than the second, ‘Knocked Out By My Nunga-nungas’, but at under 2 hours long each they are quick and fun to read.
When we go to college my mum picks us up from the bus stop in town after we have caught the bus back. She does this after work, and yesterday as we had some time to kill my sister and I went shopping, after we went to the library. I picked out two books (bottom of picture), but I am only going to read the top one seeing as the other has terrible reviews, despite the fact that I loved the cover - yes I know that you shouldn’t but who doesn’t? I knew that I shouldn’t but I went to the charity shop that I knew would have ‘The Kite Runner’ and I bought it as they had it. I also picked up ‘The Aristocats’ on video seeing as I have never seen this and it was only 99p. The rest of the books in the photo are Little Black Dress books that my sister loves. I have read one or two, but someday I will get around to the rest. The charity shop had six of the books at £1.99 for two, so she was pleased, and has been reading all day.
Other things:
- Charlie is now in Fred’s old cage, the Imac Fantasy. I was worried that he might get out of the bars as he is so small. So far no escapes (my bedroom door is shut, keeping the cats out just in case), but the wheel was so noisy that it kept us awake a lot. So Charlie is in pink land now, but I am sure he can’t see colour so it is fine.
- I am on a diet. I don’t like it, but I need/want to do it, and hopefully I will get some results soon.
- My great-aunt is in hospital as she fell.
- My pansies are a little better now, not so droopy.
I hope that this blog wasn’t too long. For my next blog I will not do the usual ‘what I have been doing’ but I will think of something else like, my favourite perfumes and make up, favourite books, pets, but I will probably do my favourite make-up products.
Oh, last time I forgot the link to the plugin page for the new version of Now Reading, so stupid of me. Here it is, sorry about that.
