Title: Libera me
Warnings/Notes: n/a
Druella and Cygnus Black are the parents to the three "Black sisters" - Bellatrix, Andromeda and Narcissa. Even though they never have a real appearance in JKR's books, they still leave a lot of space for interpretation and we know at least one thing about them; just like the Malfoys and the rest of the Blacks (not counting Andromeda and Sirius), both honour and blood, especially blood status, are very important for them. When their middle daughter married a Muggle-born, she was immediately disowned and burnt off the Black family tree. Cygnus fell in the first Wizarding War, while it is unknown whether Druella is still alive or not. (Disclaimer: the following thoughts are entirely based on my headcanon!)
"and the history books forgot about us"
Druella Black (née Rosier) is a very proud, yet also emotional woman. She was told at a very young age that she was promised to marry Cygnus Black, whom she met first when she entered Hogwarts and was Sorted into Slytherin house. At the age of eighteen, she suffered a terrible stroke of fate (The Queen's Dolour) and others were to follow soon. Soon, Druella decided not to accept her emotions any longer (Leave My Body) and close her mind to anybody, but Cygnus who has always been by her side, giving her hold and strength (Libera Me) and whom she fell deeply in love with (Samson).

Cygnus Black was born as the youngest child to Pollux and Irma Black. Despite having a very hot temper, he was always rather reclusive and aloof, and therefore did not have a problem with his parents giving most attention to his elder siblings. He soon found out that he was promised to marry Druella Rosier, whom he first met at the age of eleven. Soon, Druella would become his best friend and confident, and he'd always be there for her, under any circumstances, just like she'd always be there for him. It didn't take long until Cygnus fell in love with her and, with time passing, his feelings only grew stronger.
To Druella and Cygnus Black it never mattered whether their marriage was arranged; the only thing important to the was that they'd be together (As Long As You're Mine). Both their worlds seemed to be grey and dreary, not worth living, until they met and discovered their feelings for one another (Spectrum); both are rather reserved people, but know each other better than anything else and always entrust themselves to their partner (Mon Coeur S'Ouvre À Ta Voix). Druella, as well as Cygnus are convinced that they have known one another for many more years than they do and that, even in other lives, they'll always be together (A Love Before Time).

AS LONG AS YOU'RE MINE (STEPHEN SCHWARTZ)Just for this moment
As long as you're mine
I've lost all resistance
And crossed some borderline
SPECTRUM (FLORENCE + THE MACHINE)Say my name
and every colour illuminates
we are shining
and we’ll never be afraid again
MON COEUR S'OUVRE À TA VOIX (CAMILLE SAINT-SAENS)Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix,

aux baisers de l'aurore!
A LOVE BEFORE TIME (COCO LEE)I would still find my way,
By the light I see in your eyes
The world I know fades away
But you stay
