I just saw the
trailer for the upcoming Planet of the Apes movie. Nope I didn't know about that movie either. First of all, I'm sick of all the beginnings, origins, rises etc. But more importantly I was shocked when I saw this:
It used to be important who directed the film or who wrote the script, which probably tells you something about the quality of the plot or the way it's adapted to the screen. Now they mention the damn visual effects company? Gosh, the movie industry is so screwed up. And it deserves it. I will not watch that movie for this reason alone. I noticed that if the filmmakers spend lots of money on effects, the plot and characters usually suck (best example: Skyline).
