I know I'm years behind the times, but I'm finally watching Battlestar Galactica and completely in love with it. (Only about three quarters through the third season! Don't spoil it for me!)

I only have one real beef so far, and he comes in the form of the (fairly beefy) Helo, who may be the most boring character to ever grace a television set. He has no motivations beyond being a Good Person; I'm beginning to doubt that he is a person and suspect that he is a less interesting model of robot than a Cylon.

So far, he's been all, "I AM SQUARE-JAWED. I LOVE SHARON. I WILL RISK EVERYTHING FOR SHARON AND FACE THE SCORN OF THE FLEET FOR NO CLEAR REASON FOR LO, SHE IS MY CYLON WIFE AND DID I MENTION THAT I LOVE HER. I WILL FOLLOW MY QUESTIONABLE INSTINCTS AT ALL TIMES AND ALWAYS BE RIGHT BECAUSE I AM GOOD AND SHIT."

And I'm all, "Bitch, please, don't even try to compete with Baltar. We all know he has the best cheekbones in the fleet and I will take his accidentally genocidal, tortured, mildly insane, pretty self over your lack of anything interesting any day."

Also, Caprica-Six loves Baltar and she's the best, so. Can't argue with that logic. Caprica-Six. Cheekbones. Why should I care about Helo, again? And why is Sharon wasting her time with that loser?

So, basically, this is what I have got out of this show: Caprica/Baltar forevah, and if Adama and Roslin could just get on with the getting together properly, I would be thrilled. Also, Starbuck is awesome and I really don't want her and Lee to get together because Lee's only interesting personality trait is his fucked up dynamic with Starbuck.

television, general awesome
