NOTIFICATION

I hereby announce that I condemn CI YAOI - http://community.livejournal.com/ci_yaoi - for what they are doing. They steal download links and files from scanlation groups, post and reshare the files without permission from the groups. They have no respect whatsoever to the people who buy ( Read more... )

CI Yaoi was the worst of all, they did announce releases on Mangaupdates as their own, I saw it very often because I'm a member of some of those groups who did the work and it is so understandable that they got mad!
At the time as Megaupload got closed their site was worth as good as nothing, only mediafire was left and we know how they work since a few weeks after the closure of Megaupload (can't say Mega anyomre since there's the reborn site), so the site was worthless in no time and it serves them more than right!!
I'd like to see that all those persons who go and share the work of persons who want to help others like me to read wonderful works which I weren't able to without help, get their punishment in one way or another, I really can't understand why they are doing this or what they get from spoiling the little joy we have.
Such a black list of communities like these or moreover these days one of those people who go and share without asking and disregard all rules, so that they are get so well known to hardly get the permission to join or can easily be identified and get kicked out before they can do more harm, would be not a bad thing.

Yes, I'm a fan since 2000 and it was so hard in the beginning to only get mangas or animes, first I only viewed the original mangas I wanted to read (I found out about nippon book stores and got a friend at one who looked out for my favorite mangas or cd's), it was a total delight as the scanlations began.
I was shocked as I saw the irc the first time but didn't gave up till I was able to use it and was so lucky that many groups had a yahoo group for which I got my LJ, don't knowing how important it would get for me.

Thank you so much for stopping by to say hello, I'm happy to have my beloved hobby alongside the household and job to get a little money to spend on mangas, animes and cd's (Pirerrot, Glay, L'arc~and~ciel, B'Z, Sho Hayami, Shinichi Ishihara, Takehito Koyasu and more), the income of my husband goes to living costs and to pay off the installments for the house we built for the family.

^^ 3 years less, dont' make as much difference!
I also have piled up raw books, a few manga series but more of the BE-Boy and Be-Boy Gold, I can't really scan but I'd have sent the books to scanlators if I were fluent in english that times but my english back from my school days was nearly faded away -_-, so I had much difficulties to get able to read the scans or watch the animes (I wasn't bad in english lessons, but I wish I'd had this incitement to learn back then ^^, I started to listen to Beatles that times, but therefore not as much english were needed as for really reading books or watch subs.).

I know how it is to view the books without understanding a single word but really want to and it was such a delight to catch a scan from a raw story I had viewed; mostly the real afterimage was not the same I had gotten, but understanding the story right as it is is such a joy!
I treasure every scan I'm allowed to read for my own and can't believe my luck to read so much I never would have been able to without the scanlators help.
Back in irc days the groups also wanted the people to fetch the files at their respective channels and since LJ started I'll go to the groups LJ's and leave a thank you that I've dl the file so that they know, it's the least to tell I'm happy and delighted to get it to read.

I'm sad that so much groups are not active anymore, but it's also no wonder that many over the years got real life issues to put over the scanlations, so I'm happy to see that new ones coming up and are willing to share and I'm thankful everytime they allow to read their works.

Attracive Fascinante was the first group to close the LJ for good and I was to late to join because that time irc was active more or less and I had worries at first to join LJ's, because in our country they started to send out cease-and-desist orders with financial penalty up to 5.000 Euro and more, Lawyer offices started which did only monitor the host sites to log ip's and send out the cease-and-desist orders to make a huge pile of money for themselves the law will be corrected to a financial penalty up to 150 Euro for private users these days.
I really do regret to hesitate in the beginning very much, but I was frightened how they started to watch what everyone's doing over their monitors in that offices to only make a lot of money at cost of unsuspectingly users.

Hochuuami and Gooc were the first groups I knew, than came nakama and so on, for a while I was a member as qc in countless times (atlantisdream before changing the name) as my english wasn't too bad anymore ^^.

As I was younger I thought the money thing would get better with time, but I recognized it'll be an actual matter all the time, this is why I started working again as the kids were in elementay school to not spend my husbands hard earned money to my hobby for which he rightly could have said that we need the money for more important things *sigh*.
But now my daughters 22 and 19 and I'm glad to have a work alongside the household although it's a little much at times ^^.

One consolation is, that many others are the same as us, with never enough money as they would like to have for their hobby!
I wish you all the luck for your college time and that all will go according to your plans!!!
