(no subject)
So I am now on facebook and yet another faucet of my soul has been stolen by the internet. Thanks guys.
On the other hand, I seem to be doing rather well in Japanese (Nihongo!). Although if another person scoffs at this news and says "oh it's just Intro. Jap." I might just smite them where they stand. We've finally gotten to the point in fencing (get it? hahaha) where we are actually stabbing each other. (I'm going to have to get a glasses-strap, they keep falling down my nose) I think I'm doing rather well, really, as long as I remember to throw my arm out for balance went I go in for an attack and also as long as I remember not to treat it like a real sword fight and only go for the target area (the upper torso) instead of doing what one would normally do and aiming for anything one can reach. Swim class is a small joke, since even though the butterfly swim is currently the bane of my pool time, the instructor is making us wear little footie fins. I adore wearing fins. And thanks be to Shields-san and many hours of practice time, they adore me as well. Observational is inclined to go on for far longer a night then I personally think helpful (I can be grumpy when the random imaging causes me to be low on sleep the next day), but at least we are now actually allowed to take images with the 16" telescope.
I'm still a tad ill, my voice has yet to return to its full capacity (unfortunately), I know I am not exactly of the High Choir, but I do so miss singing in the car (I'm pretty sure no one else does, though)... Which is also the reason, Lilli-chan, that I haven't called to visit, since I do not want you sick, though I am pretty certain I'm not contagious (this happens every year, Fall allergies are horrid), it never hurts to be sure. Added to my inability to sleep as a rule, I now spend half the night coughing, so it would appear that whatever I caught after Saturday before last on GF is still with me, as well as the normal whatever-is-blooming-is-killing-me Fall thing.
