1.Where did your LJ name come from?
Silawen is a name I made up ages ago. I'm really into Tolkien, have been since I was a little kid, and I wanted to use one of his languages to create a name I could use on the internet. 'Silawen' comes from the verb 'to shine' in elvish. Sil- means 'to shine' or 'shine' and -wen means 'maiden'. Where that a came from? I don't know, I just liked 'Silawen' better, I suppose. XD
2.Do you like the place where you live? Why?
I love the country I live in. It fits me to a t. We're liberal, easy-going and down to earth. (And the tallest people in the world, apparently, though I'm awfully short myself, hee.) I'm really proud to call it my own. We may be crazy as fuck, but everyone's allowed to be, here.
3.What do you most enjoy doing when you are alone?
Writing. I love English and I love working with it. Whether it's fanfiction or original stories, whenever I have time I try to work on something. Related to that, I also love to read. Reading fanfiction, writing it, I'm all about being creative and involved like that. (I also enjoy reviewing, probably related to being an English teacher.)
4.Would you eat frog eyes for $1000000?
Probably. They'd be small enough to simply swallow and I've had worse. (Without knowing it, but still.)
5.Do you think that you have cried more than 50 times in your whole life?
Yes, I'd say so. I'm pretty emotional and, not to sound like a crybaby, have had a tough couple of years. Long story, but, yes, I have probably cried more than that.
