Ehm, wow, Bleach fandom is a lot scarier than I thought. I'm ever so glad my ships are tiny, cracky, or otherwise undesirable. Were they not, I fear the consequences.

That is all. *hides behind Mayuri, who is sure to never be shipped with Ichigo overly much*

bleach, fandom

Oh lord, like a week or two ago I was going to post something similar to this because I was utterly perplexed by a pairing debate thread for Naruto *megafacepalm* To me, it's equivalent to the fanboys and their power level/tiers debates. It can get absolutely frightening!

Even though I love IchiHime, I'd actually prefer Ichigo to end up with no one. I can't see a point to a love confession from him. Even at the end, I can't imagine it anything but awkward (at this point, anyway)

(Has Mayuri EVER been shipped with Ichigo O___o?!)
...okay, I saw it once before D:

I've seen it too. D: Along with Mayuri/Gin, Mayuri/Aizen, Mayuri/Ishida, and Mayuri/Kenpachi.

Urahara/Mayuri and Mayuri/Nemu seem to be the most popular?

OH GOOD LORD YOUR ICON ;_______;
(it's kind of amazing and totally appropriate to the topic at hand >:D)

I've seen all of those except for Mayuri/Gin (which I am now eerily compelled to google...)

Urahara/Mayuri and Mayuri/Nemu seem to be the most popular?

YES!YES!YES to the first, and NO!NEVER to the second :P

Oh, yes. I can only imagine what the OP of that secret is feeling right now. Basically, her very last sentence turned out to be absolutely true. They would eat her alive. I also can't see why people would get so in arms over such a harmful secret. Someone says that hardcore fans of a pairing ruin part of the enjoyment for her and instead of feeling sad that some of their fellow fans might have ruined it for others, everyone's yelling about how they're justified to be smug. Uhm, what?

Meh, I would remove Ichigo altogether if it meant not having to suffer through these ship wars. Ichigo/Orihime, Ichigo/Rukia, I'm sure they both have their great stories, and they certainly have bits of canon supporting them. (But then, so does Urahara/Mayuri and even though I love them I'd never dare call them a 'canon couple', regardless of what I'd wish to see. XD)

Mayuri has been shipped with Ichigo, but luckily I've seen it only once or twice. *grin* I don't much like the pairing. *makes face*

The word "hardcore" in fandom has received such a beating. I don't know when being "hardcore" about something turned from a person simply loving it (a little obsessively, hehe) to being an overlord of all that is canon. uuuggh.

As far as IchiRuki vs IchiHime goes, what bugs me is that if Ichigo were to actually choose one, it wouldn't effect the plot AT ALL, except now Ichigo has "mask" issues (but he seems to have forgotten that lol)
(what do you mean NOT CANON aaaah infinite sadness- I've seen yaoi pairs argued against vague-canon het pairs for shounen manga. It's the definition of scary!)

Even on my crackiest of crack days, I could never fathom Mayuri and Ichigo. The only thing I read of them was a short sadistic drabble (thankgod!)
