My mouth feels better. It hurt last night and this morning I woke up with an enormous headache, but it's not as bad now. The right side of my face is still bruised and yellow, but the left side looks almost normal. I'm focusing on keeping my mouth as clean as possible.
Otherwise, I feel so weird. I've said this before, about being an adult: when I was younger I thought it would be like falling off the edge of the world every day. I feel like that today.
I move in tomorrow at eleven. There will be paperwork. My plan is to make a few trips by car, take my clothes, books, dishes, my desk (fold-able and lightweight), plastic drawer tower, etc. then move the furniture later when I have help. There's more furniture than I'd thought there would be: a dresser, green loveseat, white recliner, three end tables, nightstand, television, microwave, a kitchen table and two matching chairs, two folding chairs, Karen and Fletcher's big coffee table, a bookcase, and a mattress and boxspring. (I also inherited a vacuum cleaner - yay!) There's also another bookcase and the squishy fold-out couch; I guess I'll put those out by the curb. And I have stuff for Goodwill that I'll probably run over tomorrow, too. I need to buy a bed frame (plain metal one) and a kitchen trash can. I'll also need to buy some various kitchenware (pots, pans, a glass casserole dish), but I can probably pick those up for cheap while I'm at Goodwill.
I'm not quite sure yet I'm going to fit it all in. You can see the floor plan
here, I have the regular one-bedroom. It's on the second-floor and it's ~720 sq. ft. I have ideas for the bedroom, but a lot will depend on the actual dimensions. I think I'll put my desk and bookcase in the living room. It'll help wean me of my habit of falling asleep in front of the television computer.
Charles, do you know yet whether or not we can get a FacVan for Sunday? If not, Monday evening would work.
Focusing on the concrete details helps, I think, with the weirdness.
