"McNair was acquired today in a trade with the Tennessee Titans, it was announced by general manager Ozzie Newsome.
McNair, who signed a five-year contract with Baltimore at 4:05 this afternoon, is 33 and entering his 12th season. He's also expected to become Baltimore’s starting quarterback. 'You don’t invest in a Pro Bowl quarterback to come in and sit. We expect Steve to be the starter,' head coach Brian Billick said.
“We like the progress Kyle (Boller) has made, especially late last season. But, Steve’s experience and production give him the starter’s role when we get together at training camp.'"
