--Working some more. Halloween means desperate normal people who I can bleed dry. Good, I say. I'm as eeeeeevil and Republican and cooporate as the rest of them, wanting people's money so badly.

My car's got an electronic issue, so I haven't been able to drive down to the post office to mail the goodie package for you and swades. (Hey, I had to get a bigger box, anyway.) Perhaps my mother will let me take HER car all of five blocks tomorrow? *pointedly NOT holding breath* You have my permission to blame her for late prezzies.
How did you two fare through Wilma? Stupid idiots up here really didn't learn much about hurricanes before Katrina, so the news has been less than informative. Then again the meteorologists up here have only made TWO accurate daily forecasts since I've been up here. TWO!! Dumb shits.
Oh yes, I can't tease you with prezzie pics, but I will tease with these pics. [Palps]Yeessssss, feel the WTF?! come over you....[/Palps]
I didn't find them. Mom went driving down some farm roads and found a bunch of these on a tree (I think she said). No idea what the hell they are. Neither of the indiginous Michigan tree books I grabbed from the library has anything about it. Even my grandmother doesn't know. I do know what I WILL do with them though. They will make excellent jack-o-lanterns' brains!! ^_^
That reminds me, just in case:
Extreme Pumpkins - I'm trying to convince my grandmother to let me do the flame-top one.
&
Zombie Pumpkins - use my email/pass to print patterns: metiswept@yahoo.com/spooky. I grabbed a few from this site and they worked pretty well. (Haven't taken pics yet.)

Wilma basically pruned our trees for us. 6 million to the south w/out power for a few days.
I have no idea what those things are.

BTW, found out what those alien brain looking thingeys are from a farmer at the pumpkin patch today: Osage Oranges, also known around these parts as MonkeyBrain Fruit and Hedge Apples. *shrug* They seem to be a cousin of the mulberry (only giant and green), and are rather inedible, unless you happen to be a squirrel. I was warned that the scent of those will turn any nearby squirrels into fanatical, rabid piranhas. (I guess they're tasty to rodents.) O_O;
This same farmer also mentioned that they're a great cockroach repellent. Should I send a bucketful to FL? LOL! j/k
