So... yesterday we get home from going to see Wanted (the bulb in the projector exploded :P) and I see the neighbor's chicken in our yard. She had been around our house a few times in the past few weeks, I found her beating up Mooner (one of our cats) a week or so ago. Anyway, I go to grab her and take her home when what do I see but a little baby chicky! I took it away from its mommy (I have scars to prove it ;) and we took it and momma across the street to talk to them, but they weren't home. So, we decided to be nice to the little chicky and put it up for a while. We had to go to Costco, so we tossed him in a box with some food and water and went to Larson's (on the way to Costco, elsewhise I'd have gone to enos in town...) and got more scratch for him. When we got back, the neighbors were home, so we talked to them for a while. They said it would be fine if we kept the little'un. So we went home and found momma was sitting on eleven more eggs. So... we may have a few more on the way! I named the first one Suodeth, because it was a song title that was randomly in my head (turns out it was a Kalmah song I'd never heard before... :D) So we put him up in the garage for now, in an old bird cage draped with a towel and next to a light (for heats).Yeah. He's cute. Actually, I will edit with pictures in a bit, once I find the camera...
