Stupid People Just Piss Me Off!

I don’t usually try to throw out the religion bone but it is Televangelists connected with, “The Multi-Century Club” that feel that they need to be hypocrites. They as the “Moral Majority” like to pass judgment on those of us who don’t believe in their bag of shit. OMG I am going to have a field day with this one! Hold on kids... And if I offend anyone... Please don't continue to read.

We as humans are taught, no are TOLD, that an anthropomorphic, malevolent, God loves them but will punish those persons forever if they do certain things or act a certain way. That has the net effect of stunting the growth we humans as a society. Fuck for that matter it is downright medieval. OK… when do we sing “Ring Around The Rosey? I feel a plague coming on… Opps! No, it is already here.

Although it is not my place to judge although I will right now because I am a bit on the pissed side, I will say to this day I still have flashbacks from the sight of a ruler. When I attended parochial school they still had bloodletting and leaches. In fact we found that much better than recess!

I can laugh about it now because I was led to believe that God, as I was taught, would punish you for your sins in purgatory till he deemed it possible for you to enter into heaven. Of course this included the sins that you remembered committing, the ones that you forgot and the ones that were kept up with by the governing body of the religious faculty.

My beliefs are a lot more open than they were during the inculcation I received in school. When I was younger I was led to believe that you were constantly being tested by the All-Mighty and because it was the divine intervention of an all-knowing God you were suppose to blindly trust in what you had learned and always assume that you would find a better place at the end of your life.

I, for what I believe am now shunned because I consider “higher power” a more correct way to explain my deity. I was told that this was blaspheme. Why? I questioned. I was told because of this I was giving way to a belief in any God including pagan beliefs. I immediately followed that up with “I Don’t Give A Fuck, It Isn’t My Place To Judge!”

It to me is not about a hateful “Higher Power”, one that punishes a person for their beliefs, sexuality or creed; it is one of acceptance for which a person is. The judgment lies more with those people who take on this “Holier Than Thou” attitude that persecute a person for the before mentioned. Who in the fuck gave them the power to do so? OK you religious zealots, take note of this verse

Matthew 7:1-6

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. Now, I understand that the spirituality that I seek starts from within myself and once finding peace with myself, I can then share that experience with another.

Where in that statement does it say that you should hold court on someone else and then go out as “Good Christians” worrying about what your friends are wearing to a service and make a fucking potato salad! I say this because I consider myself a bit of a watchdog for this kind of hypocritical bullshit and stupid people are at the top of my list.

Take a look at this web page.

http://www.cbn.com/spirituallife/ChurchAndMinistry/Evangelism/gayfriend.aspx

Here I will include a paragraph. I cannot go any further for copywrite reasons and the fact that I was entirely pissed off by this rhetorical bullshit.

“In this era of gay rights, many of us know someone who is gay, whether a co-worker, neighbor, or friend. We are often asked, "How do I witness to this person?" The answer is simple: The same way you share God's truth with anyone else.” “Your friend is a man or woman with complex fears, hopes and needs. Look beyond the "gay" or "lesbian" label to the whole person inside. Rather than seeing your friend as a homosexual, think of him or her as a person with a homosexual problem.”

What kind of fucked up crap is that? A Problem? These are the same pains-in-the-ass who have adulterous affairs and then profess them on national TV. It is that kind of ignorance that has plagued this country for over 230 years. You need to “witness” to yourself and figure out why your poor pathetic life is incomplete because you have spent all your time worrying about what others are doing.
