Hmmm. I'll probably check it out but it doesn't really sound fabulous!

Yeah I wasn't feeling it much until the end. The concept is kind of dumb (lol) but it just wasn't great acting-wise or character wise. I'll probably give it a few more episodes though, just to see if it gets any better.

I believe you because watching only the trailer i realized how boring must be.
Btw, i liked Alcatraz esp. the last 6, 7 episodes.

Haha. I actually liked the trailer (but that might have been due to VAST). But yeah, it was boring.

I only watched the first four episodes of Alcatraz and I was going to catch up. Of course they cancelled it so I just didn't bother. I doubt there was any real conclusion anyway. Was there?

Unfortunately, no, they should give us 12 episodes more like Fringe

I felt while watching the trailer that it could be cool, or really blech...I really wish they didn't have the "15 years later" jump, because frankly as cool as the one visual of overgrown cities was, I think the immediate aftermath of the blackout would be more exciting and intriguing. And lol you make a good point about the cars--it seems like a magical force that stopped all technology or something...

I'll still check the pilot out at least though, but probably put it on a backburner unless I hear it gets good (like I did with Ringer).

There's going to be flashbacks and stuff but 15 years is far too big a leap. Especially for a show that's probably going to get cancelled, lol.

I agree that it would be far more exciting as opposed to the 'revolution' but meh. Ha, there are definitely a lot of scientific discrepancies. And they ignore the fact that there was life before electricity..

Ah, Ringer. I actually thought that pilot was a lot more entertaining than this one. Kripke wrote this episode and all of his "family" lines annoyed the hell out of me.

I just watched it, and IA--omg were the "family" lines badly written and awkward as hell...the only character I really liked was the militia general, go figure, he was the most interesting and complex (not to mention entertaining and well-acted) character so far by a long shot.

And oh yeah I did like the pilot of Ringer, tbh I don't understand why it got so much hate...definitely stronger than this one!

Also I know what you mean about the whole pilot being in the trailer, because damn, nothing else was in that trailer but Pilot I now realize...talk about ruining things!

I hope Kripke doesn't end up being a one trick pony here. I get that he likes to write about family but right now he should be focusing on introducing the characters. I ended up rolling my eyes at it.

Yes! The militia guy was interesting.

Ringer was soapy fun! Probably not good enough for prime time TV but I kinda liked it. People didn't like it because they think every show should be as excellent as Mad Men or Games of Thrones. *rolls eyes* I wish it'd gotten another season.

LOL I read somewhere that the end of the episode was in the extended trailer. I figured it was interesting that I had no recollection of that scene. I wonder why NBC have released it early. Doesn't seem like it'll do ratings any good.

Then again, saw a bunch of SPN fans insisting that Charlie was the female version of Dean Winchester o_o...so I guess they'll be watching.
