Tomorrow I am off to Alexandra for umpire training. I have had so much going on, and so many different events, that I have almost neglected it. I am looking forward to it, but the only problem is that I have not been studying the cricket laws much!
Good things; the youngster and I had a wonderful day. We hung out in the house, just chillin' over hobbit breakfast (first breakfast, second breakfast, and then a snack) then we went round to a friend's and he continued to eat; he enjoyed biscuits, crisps, another biscuit, a tortilla snack...
Then we headed off to the pool, and he had a great time; the river, jumping off (ok, wiggling his bottom till he came off) the ledge, the waves, oh and a couple of my students who talked to him, and generally the wonderful time together.
I fed him some more in the changing room and we drove home, and he sat quietly and, not surprisingly, fell asleep.
What a great day.
It was sad to say goodbye to him.
