I had hoped to listen to Radio Espana this morning but I can't seem to get it to play. A pity. So I put on my YouTube Spanish channel, where I have all the various songs and so on that I use for Spanish teaching, and sang along with Guantanamera to Christopher's joy. After a couple of minutes he wandered off to continue eating breakfast. He loves to self feed, and, perhaps more accurately, hates to be fed. So he had his bowl of cereals and then took mine. I won't describe the mess around the floor, but, on the plus side, he is eating well.
He has just started a little dance, which is classic male; jog up and down, wave arms up and down. Fabulous/1
We had a good night; bath, toothbrush, story. He was still awake when I got to the end of his nursery rhymes in Spanish book and so I restarted. At which point he fell asleep, and slept pretty well all night, waking to cry but then returning to sleep. I tell you, this is so much better than he used to be!
Today's plan; cafe, swimming, a friend for lunch. I hope to sell some books. Finances are tight of course. I will get repaid money from the school for the van parking at the airport but an injection from book sales will help.
Lots of good things yesterday. Obviously Christopher, his pleasure at the library, the way he ate the pork curry and rice, his bathtime and bedtime are major. The first period yesterday was spent at a girls' school and they all seemed to enjoy salsa dancing. I could not stay both periods, since I had an economics class, but the tapas were also appreciated. So plus points.
I completed duty, and there were no canteen squabbles. I got to a meeting, and managed to submit bureaucracy. And teach! Sometimes it would be good to get the ministry to work out how much we have to sacrifice teaching for bureaucracy.
My middle son got to the optometrist to get a check on his eyes. He had contact lens problems last week but things seem fine now.
Well, the little fellow is enjoying my toast with vegemite.
