Y'know what bothers me ?

Is how the internet / world reacts to Japan.

What happened to Japan was horrible, I saw videos of the water taking everything with them and people having lost everything.

Then I see on my friends page - the manga communities - a lot of people going like "IS XXXX-MANGAKA ALLRIGHT ? IS SHE SAFE?" what the fuck about the other people living there ( Read more... )

wtf: europe, country: japan, country: haiti, wtf: fandom, person: ranting, country: chile, posts: public

That was weird for me, too@manga comms. I mean, I have friends over there, people I personally know, in real life. Sure, I understand that people worry ...

The EU ... Well, think of all the investments and trades they have with Japan. Haiti and Chile don't produce electronics or cars etc.
From a less cynical POV ... I guess, the nuclear power plant makes the situation in Japan more terrifying, more real, since Chernobyl happened only 25 years ago.

If you have like, friends over there, family, just worry in general, that's fine man, I understand D: But if you're only thinking about a mangaka artist what the fuck ???

That's true D: But they make it look like Japan is more important than Chile or Haiti and in those countries the LITTLE people had they even lost it D: Also when you hear about 11 year old girls getting raped in Haiti because there still aren't any houses there then I see red too. Women are getting there raped in their sleep and no one cares !

That worries me too D: Japan really doesn't deserve a third thing hitting them.

sorry for butting in like this, guys

I agree with you about the people who panic at the thought of their mangas and animes being discontinued, and it's awful - people lost everything, as you said, and there will be probably more victims.

I was surprised when I read in your comment about the women being raped, and that's just horrifying. I have no words for that, it's awful. But I think, considering Japan now, that the danger of radiation concerns the UN more than some other disasters did - if the nuclear plants continue to crush down there's a possibility that the radiation will spread through water, sea and through the air by the winds. People don't want another Chernobyl... even now, the amount of radiation coming from the destroyed plants during one hour equals the amount a human's body should absorb in a year... it doesn't seem good... and I think the UN wants to prevent further catastrophes...

YEAH DX And then they go like "omg I know it must sound horrible and I care about others too [lol orly ?] but I just wanna know if she's safe ;____;" so far I haven't commented anything but seriously, those mangakas probably live in Japan and felt the earthquake but I don't think they lived anywhere near Sendai or anything ( ... )

*nods* I agree, I agree...

That's awful. I have to confess, I didn't know about it, and that's just sad... I mean, 11-years-old child? Raped? Unforgivable... It's horrifying that no one is taking care of the people.

Whoa, really? That's crazy, but I guess people are afraid... We'll see what will happen in the next few days. I really really hope they'll manage to cool down the radioactive material in the reactors...

I meant Tokyo instead of Japan *facepalm*

Yeah I hope so too but on tv they said 20 people are already affected by the Radioactive material D: I hope it wont become worse cause first the earthquakes, then a tsunami and then another earthquake.. They really need a break from all the shit man D:
